Sergii Udaltsov

Sergii Udaltsov is part of the Experience team in Europe at FamilySearch, supporting family history initiatives across Central and Eastern Europe, including Ukraine and Eurasia. He works closely with local leaders and communities to help individuals begin and develop their family history, especially in complex research environments that require resilience and patience.
Sergii has a personal connection to the region through his own family history, including documented Cossack roots, which inspire his passion for helping others discover and understand their heritage. He focuses on practical, accessible teaching approaches that guide beginners step by step, as well as the importance of preserving family memories, stories, and personal connections.
His work also explores how modern tools, including artificial intelligence, can support responsible and effective genealogical research.
