Kaelyn Deeter, CG® is a Los Angeles–based genealogist whose research has carried her across many localities, though Alaska remains her deepest focus, the place where the threads of her own mixed ancestry come together (Iñupiaq, Greek, African, and much more). That heritage has shaped her as a researcher and drawn her toward unusual and underused records. Much of her work centers on complex cases, integrating DNA with documentary evidence to resolve difficult questions of identity and parentage.
